REAL BRIDE: Cassidy
Cassidy + Kyle
7.23.21
Cassidy and Kyle dated for four and a half months before Kyle popped the question and asked Cassidy to be his wife. These two know a good thing when they find one so it’s no surprise that Cassidy felt the same way finding her gown at Something White Bridal Boutique!
With the help of Whitebird Events, White Iron Ridge and Wildhill Flowers and Events, Cassidy and Kyle filled their venue with the finest details and swept their guests away into a state of romance with natural feels.
See below for all the details on Cassidy and Kyle’s big day and all the beautiful photography captured by TJ Stansbury!
Did you have a specific theme in mind while planning?
“We wanted anything rustic, terracotta and greenery! Very earthy and natural.”
How did the two of you meet?
“We met at our local church. I was on the hospitality team and greeted him the first day he came. Some friends saw a spark and set us up... 4.5 months later we were engaged!”
Tell us about the proposal!
“On our first date Kyle "borrowed" his friend's dog, since he knew I loved dogs, and we went on a long walk with this dog (named Moose) after dinner. Then for our engagement he was dog sitting Moose and we walked out to a gorgeous open field and Kyle dropped down to pop the question! It was in the middle of a snowstorm and looked like a scene from a snowglobe! I was shocked.”
What was one of your favorite moments from your wedding day?
“Our first look was both of our favorite parts of the wedding. We wrote our own vows to exchange during our first look and we both sobbed. It was simple and intimate and took all the pressure off the rest of the night!”
How did you decide to get married on July 23rd?
“We loved White Iron Ridge and wanted a six month engagement, it was the perfect fit!”
What advice would you give to other brides in regards to dress shopping?
“Be open to everything, but go with your gut! You know what you love, don't waste too much time second guessing!”
How did you know your gown was the one?
“It felt like me! I knew that on the day of the wedding, I would feel comfortable and confident. Something special and bold, but still something I will always look back on and love. I also knew that Kyle would feel like it looked like me too… not just a beautiful dress, but his bride that looked like herself. :)”
Where did you draw your inspiration + ideas from?
“Mostly Pinterest!”
Congratulations Cassidy + Kyle!
