REAL BRIDE: Molly
Cooper + Molly
12.31.19
Molly + Cooper love New Years Eve - so much so, they decided to celebrate it every year with their wedding anniversary! The two planned a gorgeous destination affair at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse in San Diego, California so that friends + family could join them in an epic celebration of their love. Their best day included stunning views, tropical florals, disco balls, live music + a spray tattoo artist [ honestly, I’m upset we weren’t in attendance for this epic party ].
As you scroll through their gallery below, a few things are for certain 1) Molly + Cooper were made for each other, 2) They know how to throw one heck of a party, 3) They have the best style. Molly’s bridal look is pure perfection + we love her ability to have two looks, just by slipping off the detachable topper.

How did you decide to get married on December 31st?
“Cooper's brother got married on December 31st, 2017 in Florida. As guests, we loved being on "vacation mode" + having plans for New Years! We knew most of our family + friends would be able to take off work for the holiday + would be looking for something to do! NYE party in San Diego anyone? Also, we now have plans for NYE every year because we can celebrate our anniversary. Double win!”
How did the two of you meet?
“The lamest of all answers - we interned together at CBIZ MHM - an accounting firm on The Plaza. After some late busy season nights + tough CPA study days, we grew closer + closer. The rest is history!”
Did you have a specific theme in mind while planning?
“This was a tough one. I wanted to some how combine NYE but also keep it somewhat beachy + tropical because we were going to be in a warm location. It all somehow came together at the end. The flowers were more tropical + then our decor was a bit more antiquey.”
What was one of your favorite moments from your day?
“Our ceremony was way more beautiful than I could have ever imagined it to be. The sun was setting as we said "I do" so the sky behind us was this perfect pink color that went so nicely with the florals + bridesmaid dresses. My second favorite was most definitely our "Kansas City New Years" countdown - which we did at 10 pm. The dance party was in full force with foam glowsticks + it really was just the absolute most fun I've ever had. “
Tell us about the proposal!
“We had planned a trip with some friends to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for NYE 2018. Somehow Cooper managed to sneak the ring through airport security without me noticing + popped the question once we got there! Goodness, so far this makes it seem like the ONLY day of the year we do things is on NYE!”
What advice would you give to other brides in regard to dress shopping?
“I remember how Paige had me narrow down the dresses as I went. After each dress, she asked if I liked the one I was wearing better than my most favorite. It kept me from getting overwhelmed by only ever having two dresses to pick from. Also, I think it helped us both hone in on what I really wanted because it would make me compare between the two what I liked + didn't like. I was very open to dress style + type going into my appointment, which I think was actually a benefit.”
Where did you draw your inspiration + ideas from?
“Pinterest for the win!”
How did you know your gown was the one?
“I loved my dress because I felt comfortable + like myself in it. I knew I could wear it on my wedding day + feel beautiful! I do find it funny that if you asked me to describe the one before actually trying dresses on, I would have been way off base. My dress was absolutely perfect + I am so incredibly happy i found it.”
Congratulations Molly + Cooper!
We L O V E your love + your wedding day!
