REAL BRIDE: Kristen
Joseph + Kristen Pulido
11.05.17
Where do I even start with this one? Joseph + Kristen’s day was nothing short of everything. From the Blue Moose Food Truck to blankets to keep guests warm during their outdoor reception, no detail went unnoticed. One thing is for sure, the Pulido wedding has me craving a crisp fall breeze, a latte + a candle, which must mean these two knocked their fall wedding and simple timeless theme out of the park.
What made you decide on November 5th?
“I am a wedding photographer, so fall happens to be my busiest time of year. However, I have always wanted a fall wedding. The thought was that November 5th is in the fall, but hopefully I wouldn’t be as busy on my future anniversaries as I would be if I would have gotten married in September or October!”
How did the two of you meet?
“We actually met on Tinder! For the first five months or so of our relationship we told everyone we met through mutual friends because we were so embarrassed!”
What was one of your favorite moments from your big day?
“My favorite moment would have to be our first look. Joseph + I took some time to read vows that we wrote to each other, with no one else around. For me that was one of the best decisions I made. It was so intimate + special + I will always cherish that memory!”
How did your husband propose?
“Joseph proposed on December 23rd. We were at my parents house for Christmas dinner + before we said our blessing he told everyone he had something he wanted to ask me + then got down on one knee!”
Did you have a specific theme in mind while planning?
“I guess you could say my theme was timeless simple elegance. I just wanted everything about our day to withstand the test of time! Our colors were burgundy with gold accents + we did all greenery instead of flowers.”
What advice would you give to other brides in regard to dress shopping?
“Splurge! It is so worth it to feel like a million bucks on your wedding day! You deserve it!”
Where did you draw inspiration + ideas from?
“Obviously Pinterest, but I also got a ton of inspiration from other weddings I have photographed. Being a wedding photographer really makes planning your own day a lot easier. I’ve attend many weddings because of my job + knew exactly what things I wanted + what things I didn't!”
How did you know you had found your gown?
“Honestly, I didn't overthink it. As soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one + I didn't try anything else! It was everything I was looking for. Simple, elegant + timeless. It was perfect!”
Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Pulido!
Wishing you the happiest forever + ever.
