REAL BRIDE: Emma
Emma + Logan
5.21.21
When it came to their wedding day, Emma and Logan wanted it to be an elegant, romantic, simple and intimate day full of love. All words we believe they accomplished perfectly! Logan proposed at Union Station in December of 2019 and Mr. and Mrs. Feldmann made things official a year and a half later in St. Louis with Kansas City photographer, Meredith Graves in tow!
Congratulations Emma and Logan! Read on for all the details of their perfect Christmas proposal and intimate and intentional wedding day.
How did you decide to get married on May 21st?
“My parent’s were married on May 19, 1995 on a Friday, so getting married around the same date and on a Friday, was very special to us.”
How did the two of you meet?
“We are high school sweethearts. We met at St. Dominic High School in O’Fallon, Missouri. We both played soccer. This December will be our 10 year dating anniversary!”
Tell us about the proposal!
“Logan proposed to me at Union Station in Kansas City on December 13, 2019. It was very special because it was all decorated for Christmas and Logan knows Christmas is my favorite holiday.”
How did you know your gown was the one?
“I knew my gown was the one because I felt like the most beautiful girl in the room. I felt confident. Sometimes it is hard to feel confident because I like to point out all of my flaws, but when I put my dress on I didn’t see any flaws - so I knew it was the one.”
What advice would you give to other brides in regards to dress shopping?
“I would tell them to just go with their gut. It is always tempting to think that there is a better dress out there, but once you know, you know. The first dress I tried on was the one I ended up choosing, but because it was the first dress I told myself to keep looking because there might be better ones out there. There weren’t.”
What was one of your favorite moments from your wedding day?
“One of my favorite moments from our wedding day would be when just Logan and I left in the middle of dinner to go do sunset photos. It was just him and I and we got to spend some alone time together and talk which was really nice. We just had so much love for each other that day and for all of our friends and family that came to celebrate with us.”
Did you have a specific theme in mind while planning?
“Just simple. We went for the more elegant and romantic theme of white linens and chairs with gold accents and greenery. My bridesmaids were in navy dresses which complemented the greenery really well.”
Where did you draw your inspiration + ideas from?
“I just had a vision of how I wanted to decorate the venue - since it was such a blank space. I really just drew inspiration from myself. I am a very simple person, not very over the top, and that’s how I wanted the wedding to be. Just very intimate and special.”
Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Feldmann!
Wishing you the sweetest forever! <3
